The School of Continuing Studies supports UIC’s mission to provide access to academic excellence by collaborating with UIC’s colleges, centers and institutes to develop and deliver high quality, innovative and timely educational offerings to individuals seeking professional development, personal enrichment, career change and academic growth.

In addition to working with UIC’s academic units to develop and deliver credit and non-credit offerings, the School is home to the Tutorium in Intensive English and provides a gateway to UIC’s Summer Session for undergraduate students attending other universities who wish to take summer courses at UIC.

The School is housed in the Office of Academic Affairs and reports to the Vice Provost for Planning and Programs.
